Benefit Description
Upon death of the owner, in the state of AK, CT, DE, HI, ID, IL, LA, MD, MN, MO, NJ, PA, UT, VA and WA if the owner die before the maturity date the accumulation value will be available in the following options, 1) If the annuitant passes away after the second contract anniversary, the beneficiaries will receive a death benefit based on the lesser of two amounts- Rider Death Benefit Maximum or Benefit Base as of Date of Death, or 2) Lump sum equal to premium on the rider issue date. However, in Most States the issuer allows the beneficiaries to take the lump sum annuity remaining accumulation value, or they can opt to receive the remaining amount of the benefit base in five equal installments after the 1st contract anniversary.
