Benefit Description
The Enhanced Death Benefit (EDB) is automatically included at the contract issue in lieu of the Basic Death Benefit. Benefit under the rider is available after the first policy year, during the accumulation phase. The Enhanced Death Benefit will not exceed the lesser of 200% of Net Premium (Premiums paid less withdrawals) or Net Premium accumulated at 10%. Before the policy anniversary, the EDB value is equal to the GMWB Benefit Base, thereafter, GMWB Benefit Base is reduced by the withdrawals taken. EDB value stops increasing after age 85 and is payable in equal installments for a defined number of a) 5 years (for owner's age 0-75), or b) 10 years (for owner's age 71-80).
