Benefit Description
Benefit is only available in conjunction with GLWB Preferred I.S. & Guaranteed Lifetime Withdrawal Benefit Plus. Upon death of annuitant, benefit will be greater of - 1) contract value; 2) GMDB amount. Initial GMDB amount is equal to initial purchase payment. If Issuer adds rider on a subsequent contract anniversary, initial GMDB amount will be equal to current contract value. If withdrawals are less than or equal to annual benefit payment, death benefit will be reduced by dollar amount; excess withdrawal will reduce benefit base either in same proportion or by dollar-for-dollar amount, whichever results in lower benefit base.

Termination
Benefit will automatically terminate upon earliest of - 1) annuitization; 2) termination of contract; 3) surrender; 4) death; 5) termination of GLWB Plus; or 6) contract value and benefit base reduces to zero.
