Benefit Description
EarningsMax: This optional death benefit rider may provide additional money to beneficiaries to offset expenses, such as taxes, that they may incur when the policyowner dies. There is an annual charge of .20% for this rider, which is reflected as a lower credited interest rate. For owners less than age 69, EarningsMax will pay the beneficiary an additional 40% of the contract earnings (not to exceed 100% of premium payments). For owners aged 70 - 75, EarningsMax is calculated at 25% of contract earnings (not to exceed 100% of premium payments). This rider can only be elected at the time of issue and, once elected, is irrevocable. Not available to owners older than age 75 at issue.
