High Point Select Enhanced Death Benefit Rider
Benefit is greater of 1) basic death benefit or 2) high point enhanced death benefit (EDB) value. High Point EDB value is greater of 1) highest DAV until the contract anniversary following annuitant's 80th birthday or 2) minimum enhanced death benefit value (MEDB). On the rider effective date, the Highest DAV is equal to the purchase payment, plus the purchase payment bonus if purchase payment bonus is elected. MEDB value is earliest of purchase payment compounded at 4% per year up to 200% cap or until contract anniversary after annuitant reaches age 80. In AK, CT, DE, IA, ID, KY, MD, MN, MO, MS, NH, NJ, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TX, UT, WA, and WY, the Enhanced Death Benefit equals the greater of the Minimum EBD Value or the lesser of the Highest DAV or 125% of the Surrender Value.
