Benefit description
Upon the death of the Owner or Annuitant (if the Owner is not a natural person), or the Joint Owner who is the Annuitant’s spouse, the Death Benefit will be the greater of: (i) the Guaranteed Minimum Cash Surrender Value; or (ii) the Account Value. If the deceased Joint Owner is not the Annuitant’s spouse, the Death Benefit will equal to the Cash Surrender Value.
