Basic Death Benefit

Available during accumulation phase. Upon death of owner or annuitant, benefit will equal to contract value. Some contracts provide a Guaranteed Death Benefit, if beneficiary elects a lump-sum distribution or an income phase payment option within six months of death, Guaranteed Death Benefit is greater of - 1) contract value, or 2) total purchase payments, adjusted for withdrawal.
