Basic Death Benefit

Available during accumulation phase. Upon death of annuitant age 85 or younger, benefit will be greatest of - 1) contract value, 2) total purchase payments adjusted for withdrawals, or 3) contract value as of most recent five year contract anniversary reduced for withdrawals and increased by purchase payments made, thereafter, benefit will be equal to contract value.
