Standard Death Benefit

If death happens before the annuity date, benefit will be equal to the contract value. Surrender charges do not apply at death. If owner dies after the annuity date, any benefits payable would depend on the income option chosen. If the contract is co-owned with a spouse, the Death Benefit is payable upon the death of the first owner.
