Basic Death Benefit

Available during accumulation phase. Upon death of owner or annuitant, Mentor contract death benefit provide a Guaranteed Minimum Death Benefit, if beneficiary elects a lump-sum distribution or an income phase payment option within six months of death, Guaranteed Death Benefit is greater of - 1) contract value; or 2) total purchase payments, adjusted for withdrawal. Direct contract death benefit will equal to contract value.
