Annual Step-Up Death Benefit

Available during accumulation phase only. Upon death of annuitant, benefit will be stepped up death benefit prior to annuitant's 81st birthday, step-up death benefit is equal to - 1) largest contract value on contract date or on any contract anniversary prior to the earlier of the annuitant's date of death or the annuitant's 81st birthday; plus 2) purchase payment adjusted for withdrawals; minus 3) withdrawals from the date of death to the date the death benefit is paid.
