Basic Death Benefit

Available during accumulation phase. If owner or annuitant die prior to annuitant's age 85, benefit will be greatest of - 1) contract value; 2) total purchase payments adjusted for withdrawals; or 3) 6-year period value. 6-year period value equals highest contract value on any 6th contract anniversary, increased by purchase payments made and reduced by withdrawals. If death occurs after annuitant's age 85, benefit will be equal to contract value. If owner who is not annuitant dies benefit will equal to surrender value.
