Basic Death Benefit

Available during accumulation phase. If owner or annuitant is age 75 or younger at issue, benefit will be greatest of - 1) contract value, 2) total purchase payments adjusted for withdrawals, or 3) highest contract value calculated on 5th contract anniversary, increased by purchase payments and reduced for withdrawals. If owner or annuitant is age 76 or older at issue, benefit will be equal to contract value. For state FL, benefit will be greater of - 1) contract value, or 2) total purchase payments adjusted for withdrawals.
