Basic Death Benefit

Available during accumulation phase. Upon death of annuitant and if total purchase payments made to contract is equal to or less than $3,000,000, benefit will be greatest of - 1) contract value, 2) total purchase payments adjusted for withdrawals, or 3) highest anniversary value prior to annuitant's 86th birthday, increased by purchase payments made and reduced for withdrawals.
