Spousal Highest Daily Lifetime 6 Plus - Death Benefit

Benefit is only available in conjunction with Highest Daily Lifetime 6 Plus. Upon death of annuitant, benefit will be greatest of - 1) basic death benefit; 2) optional death benefit, if elected; or 3) if Lifetime Withdrawal has not been taken prior to death, 300% of annual benefit payment that would have been determined if a Lifetime Withdrawal has occurred on that date, or if a Lifetime Withdrawal has been taken prior to death, 300% of annual benefit payment. Annual Benefit Payment will be calculated in same manner as it is calculated under withdrawal benefits. Death Benefit is not payable if contract Value is reduced to zero as a result of withdrawals or annuity payments are begin.
