Basic Death Benefit

Available during accumulation phase. Upon death of owner, benefit will be greater of - 1) contract value, or 2) total purchase payments adjusted for withdrawals. If withdrawals are excess withdrawals or taken prior to Lifetime Income Date Issuer will reduce benefit base in same proportion, benefit base will be reduced by dollar amount, if withdrawals do not fall under excess withdrawal.
