Benefit Description
Benefit is only available in conjunction Guaranteed Lifetime Withdrawal Benefit. Upon death of annuitant, initial benefit will be equal to initial premium adjusted for withdrawals and subsequent premiums, thereafter, if accumulation value of contract on any step-up date is greater than current GLWB Step-Up Death Benefit, the death benefit will automatically be increased to an amount equal to accumulation value of contract on step-up date. In New York, step-up date for the rider is annual contract anniversary and not available with Guardian Target 250 GLWB. If GLWB Step-Up Benefit is elected, GLWB fee percentage will increase by 0.50% annually.
