Benefit Description
Available during accumulation phase. Benefit is equal to greater of - a) contract value b) earnings protection death benefit value. Earnings Protection Death Benefit Value is calculated by multiplying contract growth by earnings protection factor and adding that amount to contract value. Contract growth is calculated by subtracting cumulative adjusted premium from contract value. The benefit is limited to Contract Value plus $1 million. Cumulative Adjusted Premium is equal to initial premium payment if rider is elected at contract issue, or contract value after contract issue date. Earnings Protection Factor is 35%.
Lifecycle Events
Cancellation
May be canceled any time after first contract anniversary. if the rider charge at that time is greater than the rider charge on the rider effective date.
Termination
Benefit will automatically terminate upon annuitization; once terminated can not be re-elected.
