Annual Stepped-Up Death Benefit

Available during accumulation phase. Upon death of annuitant, benefit will be greatest of - 1) contract value; 2) total purchase payments adjusted for withdrawals; or 3) stepped-up death benefit amount. On each contract anniversary until annuitant's age 86, stepped-up death benefit amount will be reset to greater of - 1) contract value on that anniversary; or 2) death benefit as of last preceding anniversary adjusted for purchase payments or withdrawals.
