Standard Return of Purchase Payments Death Benefit

Available during accumulation phase. Upon death of owner, benefit will be greatest of - 1) contract value; or 2) return of purchase payments value.; surrender value. Return of Purchase Payments Value is equal to initial purchase payments, increased by subsequent purchase payments and reduced for adjusted partial withdrawals. However owner having non-qualified contracts can elect to opt out of the Standard ROPP Death Benefit and instead receive the Contract Value Death Benefit for a reduced mortality and expense risk charge.
