Basic Death Benefit

Available during the accumulation phase. Upon the death of the owner or annuitant, the benefit is the greater of; a) contract value or b) premium payments adjusted for withdrawals if the issue age is 79 or younger, if the issue age is 80 or older, the benefit equals the contract value.
