Maximum Anniversary Value Death Benefit

Available during accumulation phase. Upon death of owner, benefit will be greatest of - 1) contract value, 2) total purchase payments adjusted for withdrawals, or 3) highest contract value calculated on each contract anniversary, prior to owner's 83rd birthday, increased by purchase payments and reduced for withdrawals. If the Contract Value is lower than the Maximum Anniversary Value Death Benefit at the time of the withdrawal, the adjustment will be larger than the amount withdrawn. It is possible that the Maximum Anniversary Value Death Benefit will be no greater than the Contract Value Death Benefit, In such cases, no fee will be charged.
