Initial Highest anniversary value depends on when benefit is added to contract; if benefit is added to contract at issue, initial Highest anniversary value is equal to initial purchase payment; if is added to contract after contract issue, initial Highest anniversary value is lesser of - 1) contract value, or 2) purchase payments less withdrawals. Thereafter recalculated on each contract anniversary to greater of - 1) contract value, or 2) most recent calculated highest contract value, prior to owner or annuitant's 80th birthday, increased by purchase payments and reduced for withdrawals made after reset date.
