Annual Step-Up Death Benefit

Available during accumulation phase only. Annuitants under age 76 at issue, this feature establishes a guaranteed minimum death benefit each policy anniversary before the annuitant’s 81st birthday. The benefit equals the highest policy value on the policy date or any prior anniversary, plus premiums paid, minus adjusted partial surrenders. Partial surrenders reduce the death benefit using an adjusted formula, which may exceed the amount withdrawn. Availability and terms may vary by policy.
