Benefit Description
Available during accumulation phase. Upon death of owner or annuitant, benefit will be greatest of -1) contract value, 2) net purchase payments and 3) greatest contract value on any contract anniversary prior to owner or annuitant's 81st birthday. Issuer will add 40% of the contract gain (25% if owner's age is 70 or older) to any death benefit payable under contract. Contract gain is contract value reduced by purchase payments, surrenders and any applicable taxes. If total purchase payments adjusted for withdrawals exceed contract value no earnings benefit will be paid. Benefit can never be more than 200% of purchase payments.
