Basic Death Benefit

Available during accumulation phase, benefit is equal to greater of Balanced Allocation Value (BAV) or surrender value. BAV monitors daily fluctuation in strategy option and is greater of - 1) Contract Value or 2) Return of Purchase Payment Guarantee amount. Joint Option allows for a spouse to be named as co-annuitant and benefit is payable on both deaths.
