The BalancedAllocation Annuity 8S is a single premium deferred index annuity. The minimum single premium is $5,000 for qualified and non-qualified money. 5% of the accumulation value is available during the first 12 months and 10% of the accumulation value each 12 month period thereafter. Surrender charges vary by state and are waived in the event of annuitization after the first contract year, death, confinement, or diagnosis of a terminal illness. There is an optional lifetime income rider which, if elected for an additional cost, provides an option to receive lifetime income withdrawals without incurring withdrawal charges. There is an optional death benefit rider which, if elected at an additional cost, offers a death benefit which guarantees the amount paid to the beneficiaries will be the higher of the contract’s death benefit or enhanced death benefit amount. The Premium Bonus Rider is offered with the Family Endowment Rider and enhances the accumulation value with a premium enhancement. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty. Guarantees based on claims paying ability of insurer. Products / features may not be available in all states. Free look period varies by state.
