Description:
The AG Global 8 Index is a flexible premium deferred index annuity with a market value adjustment. The minimum single premium is $5,000 for non-qualified and qualified money. If initial premium is greater than or equal to $5,000, EFT minimum is $100 monthly. If initial premium is less than $5,000, EFT minimum is $300 monthly. Additional Non-EFT contributions must be at least $2,000. 10% of the annuity value, as of the previous contract anniversary (10% of the initial premium in the first contract year) may be withdrawn without a withdrawal charge or MVA. Surrender charges are eight years in duration (8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1) and are waived in the event of annuitization after the fifth policy year, death, or entrance into a nursing home. There is a Guaranteed Minimum Withdrawal Benefit (GMWB) available at no up-front charge. Payments are based upon attained age and annuity value, may begin after first contract year, are recalculated each year, and once started, may be subject to lower caps, participation rates and/or interest crediting rates. State variations may apply. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty.
