The Brighthouse SecureKey 10-Year is a single premium deferred index annuity with market value adjustment. The cap rate, step rate, participation rate and participation with spread are the the ways, by which owner can receive interest based on the upside performance of an index. The minimum purchase payment is $25,000 for qualified and non-qualified plans. Surrender charges are 10 years in duration. Surrender charges and Market value adjustment are waived after the first policy year, in the event of annuitization, death or entrance into a nursing home or terminal illness. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty. Early surrender charges may also apply. Guarantees based on claims paying ability of insurer. Products/features may not be available in all states.
