The SecureIncome 7 is a flexible premium deferred indexed annuity with market value adjustment. The minimum premium is $10,000 for qualified and non-qualified money ($2,000 per option). Additional contributions can be made for $2,000 or more. Each contract year, after the end of the first contract year, free partial withdrawals of up to 10% of the account value as of the prior anniversary. Surrender charges are seven years in duration and are waived in the event of death, entrance into a nursing home, diagnosis of a terminal illness or due to inability to perform certain activities of daily living. There is an Enhanced Guaranteed Minimum Withdrawal Benefit (EGMWB) Rider available for an additional cost which guarantees income payments for life. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty.
