MarketProtector 10 is a single premium deferred index annuity with a market value adjustment. Available for the owners/annuitant whose age lies between 0-85. The minimum single premium is $25,000 for qualified and non-qualified money. The contract allows for additional premium within the first contract year only. 10% of the beginning of contract year accumulated value may be withdrawn each policy year without a surrender charge or MVA. Systematic Withdrawal is an option. Surrender charges are ten years in duration (9,8.25,7.25,6.5,5.5,4.5,3.75,2.75,1.75,0.75). There is an Extended Care Waiver and Terminal Illness Waiver available (state variations apply). There is an optional lifetime income rider, IncomeAccelerator, available for an additional charge. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty. Early surrender charges may also apply. Guarantees based on claims paying ability of insurer. Products / features may not be available in all states.
