The North American Performance Choice 8 Plus is a flexible premium deferred index annuity with a market value adjustment. Available for owner/annuitant ages between 0-85 (0-82 in IN). The minimum single premium is $75,000 for qualified and non-qualified money. Additional contributions can be made for $25 or more. 10% of the accumulation value may be withdrawn once per year without a withdrawal charge or MVA. Surrender charges are eight years in duration (10,10,10,10,9,8,5,3), and are waived in the event of annuitization after the first policy year, death, or entrance into a nursing home. State variations may apply. A premium bonus will be credited to the accumulation value for premium received during the first five contract years. During the surrender charge period, withdrawals in excess of the penalty-free amount or a full surrender will incur a premium bonus recapture in addition to any applicable surrender charges and/or MVA. The recapture schedule is based on the issue date and applies to all premium bonuses credited. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty.
