The Nationwide Peak 7 is a single premium deferred index annuity with a market value adjustment (MVA is not applicable to CA and DE). The minimum single premium is $25,000 for qualified and non-qualified money. The free withdrawal schedule to access a portion of the contract value is 10% of the contract value and is non-cumulative. Surrender charges are based on completed contract years, seven years in duration and are waived in the event of death, long term care event, terminal illness, or injury event. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty.
