The NAC VersaChoice 10 is a modified single premium deferred index annuity with a market value adjustment. The minimum single premium is $20,000 for non-qualified and qualified money. Additional payments may be made for a minimum of $25. 10% of the beginning-of-year accumulated value may be withdrawn after the first contract year without incurring any surrender charges or MVA. Surrender charges are ten years in duration, may vary by state, are waived in the event of death. There is a an optional enhanced liquidity benefit (ELB) available for an additional cost that offers enhanced penalty-free withdrawals, return of premium, ADL-based waiver and ADL-based payout benefit. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty.
