The PruSecure Select 7 is a single premium deferred index annuity with a market value adjustment. The minimum single premium is $10,000 for qualified and non-qualified money. Additional contributions are not permitted. 10% of the beginning-of-year account value may be withdrawn after the first contract year without incurring any surrender charges or market value adjustment. Surrender charges are seven five years in duration (9,9,8,7,6,5,4) and are waived in the event of annuitization after the fifth policy year (first policy year in FL) death, confinement to a medical care facility and terminal illness. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty.
