The Universal Equity Index Annuity 10 Year is a flexible premium deferred index annuity. The minimum single premium is $10,000 for non-qualified and $5,000 for qualified money. Surrender charges are 10 years in duration and are waived in the event of death, Nursing Home or Hospital Confinement Endorsement. It offers a premium bonus and enhanced death benefit. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty.
