The Assured Edge Income Builder is a single premium deferred annuity with a flexible guaranteed lifetime withdrawal benefit. There is a market value adjustment.  The minimum initial contribution is $25,000 for qualified and non-qualified money. Additional contributions are allowed within the first 60 days after contract issue.  Beginning in the first contract year, up to 10% of the contract value as of the previous anniversary may be withdrawn without a surrender charge or market value adjustment.  Systematic withdrawal is an option. This product includes a Flexible Guaranteed Lifetime Withdrawal Benefit for an annual fee which guarantees lifetime income payments for the life of the covered person(s) even if the contract value is completely depleted due to lifetime income withdrawals, as long as withdrawals are within specified parameters. Surrender charges are seven years in duration and are waived in the event of annuitization, death, diagnosis of a terminal illness, entrance into a qualifying institution or extended care facility.  Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty. Early surrender charges may also apply. Guarantees based on claims paying ability of insurer. Products / features may not be available in all states.
