The Athene AccuMax 7 is a single premium indexed deferred annuity with a market value adjustment. The minimum single premium is $10,000. Beginning in the first contract year, the free withdrawal amount is the greater of 10% of the accumulated value or 10% of the initial premium. Surrender charges are seven years in duration and are waived in the event of qualified care, or diagnosis of a terminal illness. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty.
