Issuer will waive CDSC if - 1) owner has been owner of contract for 10 years or 2) owner has made regular payroll deferrals during entire contract year for at least 5 of those 10 years. Option also contains a disability waiver which provides waiver of CDSC if contract owner is disabled after contract is issued but before reaching age 65.
