The American Pathway Fixed 6 Annuity is a single premium deferred annuity. The minimum initial contribution is $2,000 for qualified and $5,000 for non-qualified funds. 15% of accumulated value as of the previous anniversary is available for penalty free withdrawal. Systematic withdrawal is an option. There are six years of surrender charges that are waived in the event of death, or qualifications met for Extended Care, Terminal Illness or Activities of Daily Living. There is a return of premium guarantee available. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty. Guarantees based on claims paying ability of insurer. Products / features may not be available in all states.
