The Pacific Expedition NY is a single premium deferred annuity. The initial minimum contribution is $25,000 qualified and non-qualified. There is an annual 10% free withdrawal of the prior anniversary value (for the first year, the free withdrawal amount is 10% of the premiums paid). Systematic withdrawals are an option. Surrender charges vary by rate term and are waived in the event of annuitization, RMDs, death, entrance into a nursing home, or diagnosis of a terminal illness. The Free Look period is 20 days for non replacements and 60 days for replacements. RateAdvantage feature allows a client to elect to step-up to the new money interest rate subject to a maximum. This feature may only be elected once during the initial guaranteed term. If the feature has not already been elected and the new money interest rates have increased, it will automatically step-up to the new money interest rate (subject to the maximum) on the 6th contract anniversary.
