The First Symetra Select Max 7 is a modified single premium deferred fixed annuity with a market value adjustment. The minimum premium is $10,000 for qualified and non-qualified funds. Additional contributions can be made for $1,000 or more during the first year only. During each policy year, including the first, accumulated interest may be withdrawn without CDSC or MVA charge. Systematic withdrawals are also an option. Surrender charges are seven years in duration and are waived in the event of annuitization, death, or extended confinement in a nursing home or hospital or diagnosis of a terminal illness. After the Initial Interest Term period ends, the interest rate can reset according to the Guaranteed Minimum Interest Rate provision in the contract. This interest rate is subject to a minimum of 1.00% and a maximum of 3.00%. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty. Surrender charges may also apply. Guarantees are based on the claims paying ability of the insurer. Products / features may not be available in all states.
