The Assured Edge Income Protector (PNC) is a single premium deferred annuity with a flexible guaranteed lifetime withdrawal benefit. The minimum initial contribution is $25,000 for qualified and tax-qualified annuities. Available after the first contract anniversary a maximum of 10% of the previous contract value may be withdrawn without incurrence of any applicable surrender charge. Surrender charges vary by state and are waived in the event of annuitization, death, diagnosis of a terminal illness, unable to perform at least two of the six activities of daily living, entrance into a qualifying institution or extended care facility. Systematic withdrawal is an option. There is a Flexible Guaranteed Lifetime Withdrawal Benefit rider under the contract which is available at an annual fee and provides guaranteed lifetime income payments for the life of the covered person(s) even if the contract value is completely depleted due to lifetime income withdrawals, as long as withdrawals are within specified parameters. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty. Early surrender charges may also apply. Guarantees based on claims paying ability of insurer. Products / features may not be available in all states.
