The Certainty Select is a Single Premium Deferred Annuity with a Market Value Adjustment. The initial minimum contribution is $10,000 qualified and non-qualified. Withdrawal of interest earnings is available beginning at contract issue. Systematic withdrawals are an option. Surrender charges vary based on rate term chosen and are waived in the event of death, or entrance into a nursing home. There is a 30-day window prior to the end of each guarantee period that allows access to part or all accumulated funds without surrender charges or MVA. Withdrawals may be subject to Federal/State income tax, and if taken prior to age 59 1/2, a 10% Federal Penalty tax. Guarantees based on claims paying ability of insurer.
