The MAX One is a Flexible Premium Deferred Annuity. The initial minimum contribution is $2,000 qualified and $5,000 non-qualified. 10% of the contract value may be withdrawn in any policy year. Systematic withdrawals are an option. Surrender charges are six years in duration (6,5,4,3,2,1) and are waived in the event of death or diagnosis of a terminal illness. There is an optional death benefit rider available at the time of issue for a cost of 0.20%, which is reflected in a lower credited interest rate. Withdrawals may be subject to Federal/State income tax, and if taken prior to age 59 1/2, a 10% Federal Penalty tax. Guarantees based on claims paying ability of insurer.
