The Protective Secure Saver Fixed Annuity is a Flexible Premium Deferred Annuity with a Limited Market Value Adjustment. The initial minimum contribution is $10,000 for Qualified and Non-Qualified funds.  Additional contributions can be made during the first policy year only with a minimum of $50.  10% of the contract value may be withdrawn each year without a surrender charge.  Systematic withdrawals are an option. Surrender charges are seven years and are waived in the event of death, entrance into a qualified medical care facility, diagnosis of a terminal illness, or unemployment.  Based on the contract value at annuitization, a 2% bonus applies if the annuity commencement date is after the 10th contract year and the chosen payout option is 10 years or more.  The Free Look period varies by state.  Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty.  Early surrender charges may also apply.  Guarantees based on claims paying ability of insurer.  Products / features may not be available in all states.
