BENEFIT DESCRIPTION
Rider provides income for life, with an opportunity to increase the Benefit Base by Interest Bonus and Premium Bonus. Post withdrawals, benefit base has potential to increase by any interest credited to the account, in addition to the Interest Bonus. Additionally, rider also includes an Allianz Income Multiplier Benefit, that doubles the lifetime withdrawal amount, if confined to a qualified hospital, nursing home or assisted living facility. or be unable to perform two of the six activities of daily living (ADLs) or severe cognitive impairment (state of California only).

RIDER TERMINATION
May be canceled any time after the election. Once canceled may not be re-elected. This will also lead the owner to lose the premium bonus and any interest bonus previously credited.

SUBSEQUENT PREMIUM
Subsequent premiums received in the first 18 months of the contract, increases the benefit base on dollar-for-dollar basis and thereby, increases with any applicable PIV Premium Bonus.
WITHDRAWAL NOTES
Penalty free withdrawals are available prior to starting the lifetime income withdrawals. The accumulation value and the amount available for free withdrawals will be reduced with dollar by dollar. Income withdrawals are considered partial withdrawals and are subject to the ordinary income tax. The Income Flex Benefit can be elected to provide additional flexibility in accessing funds. This feature allows for an extra withdrawal, referred to as the Income Flex Benefit Amount. This amount is calculated by multiplying the accumulation value (AV) from the most recent contract anniversary by the same percentage used to determine the lifetime withdrawal amount. As a result, this additional withdrawal reflects any increase in the accumulation value due to credited interest, ensuring that the lifetime income can grow in line with the policyâs performance.
PARTIAL WITHDRAWALS
Partial withdrawals will reduce the Protective Income Value in the same proportion. Excess withdrawals reduce the lifetime income withdrawal proportionately to the reduction in the contract value. If partial withdrawal occurs before the request of Income flex Benefit, the Income flex benefit amount will be reduced.

Required Minimum Distributions are available prior to starting the lifetime income withdrawals.

The owner has the option to take less or not take payments at all. The amount that is left over is called the Cumulative Withdrawal Value. If payments are stopped, they may only be restarted on the next anniversary. Rider includes a Death Benefit option. Available during the accumulation phase, upon the death of the owner, the death benefit under the rider will be greatest of - 1) contract value, 2) cumulative withdrawal amount, 3) guaranteed minimum value, or 4) Protective Income Value if taken as an annuity payments over a period of at least five years.
