BENEFIT BASE — GENERAL
The Guaranteed Withdrawal Amount is the maximum total amount of money that is guaranteed to be paid over time under the Enhanced GWB. At issue, the Guaranteed Withdrawal Amount and Benefit Base are both equal to the initial purchase payment plus the 5% GWB Bonus. increased by subsequent purchase payments and reduced for withdrawals. At any subsequent point in time, the Benefit Base is the remaining amount of money guaranteed to be paid through withdrawals under the Enhanced GWB. The Benefit Base will change with each purchase payment (including a 5% GWB Bonus), or as the result of an Optional Reset.
