BENEFIT DESCRIPTION
This rider protects investment by guaranteeing benefit payments until benefit amount, rather than contract value, has been exhausted may also elect step-ups that reset benefit amount to then prevailing contract value.,Maximum age of any contract owner or annuitant electing this rider is age 85 for non-qualified plans and age 80 for IRA or qualified plans.

SUBSEQUENT PREMIUM
Subsequent Premium Payments will increase the Payment Base on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
WITHDRAWAL NOTES
PARTIAL WITHDRAWALS
If the total partial surrenders exceed the Benefit Payment, the Benefit Amount will have an automatic reset to the greater of zero or the lesser of - i) contract value immediately following the partial Surrender; or ii) Benefit Amount immediately prior to the partial surrender, less the amount of the partial Surrender.
REQUIRED MIN DISTRIBUTIONS
Required Minimum Distribution exceeding the Benefit Payment will result in recalculation of Benefit Amount.
SPOUSAL CONTINUATION OPTION
Surviving spouse may elect to continue benefit after death of owner.
EFFECT CHANGE OWNERSHIP
Change of ownership within 12 months from contract issue will result in no change in benefit base. Thereafter, Issuer will recalculate benefit amount upon change in ownership.
