BENEFIT DESCRIPTION

This rider provides the same benefit as Highest Daily Lifetime 6 Plus with the ability to withdraw double the Annual Income Amount (called LIA Amount) if certain conditions are met. The LIA benefit is not long-term care insurance and should not be purchased as a substitute for long-term care insurance.,In addition to Highest Daily Lifetime 6 Plus annuity options, after 10th rider anniversary, annuitant may request annuity payments equal to annual benefit payment. In any year annuitant is eligible for LIA amount; annuity payments will be equal to LIA amount. Annuitization before 10th rider anniversary will forfeit LIA Amounts. LIA amount is available if eligible requirements are met. Both a waiting period of 36 months from rider issue date and elimination period of 120 days from notification, one or both of requirements have been met apply for LIA Amount eligibility. In addition to satisfying waiting and elimination period, at least one LIA conditions must be met 1) annuitant is confined to nursing facility, or 2) annuitant is unable to perform two or more activities of daily living. Rider also provide one-time Non-Lifetime Withdrawal, it is an optional feature of benefit that can be elected at first withdrawal. Amount of Non-Lifetime Withdrawal cannot be more than amount that would cause annuity to be taken below minimum surrender value. Non-Lifetime Withdrawal will not establish initial annual benefit payment and Periodic Value described above will continue to be calculated. Non-Lifetime Withdrawal will proportionally reduce benefit base and annual benefit payments guaranteed on 10th and 20th anniversaries of rider issue date.
